WARNING!
Read all about it!
THIS COURSE CAN ONLY BE TAKEN ONCE IN YOUR 3-YEAR RENEWAL PERIOD. Note: this is not necessarily the same thing as once every 3 years. YOU are responsible for ensuring credit in the appropriate period.
We are STILL experiencing a few hard to fix glitches . We are busy working to fix this. But you can definitely take the course right now and get your credit hours . Read below before you start. I have listed the work-arounds for the glitches. Not so hard really!
When you take the quizzes, do not try to retake the quiz and do not review the quiz. If you do these things, it will look like your score just crashed. But if somehow you do review the quiz –not to worry. The tracking software keeps track of your first answers. Just dont freak out! You have plenty of chances to get it right when you take the quiz. I give plenty of leeway to get it right. For example, if there are 4 choices on a multiple choise, I give you 5-6 tries so you really should be able to get 100% or close to
If you have registered and paid, you are ready start the course! (But the course itself may not load for 30 min to an hour after you register. If after that period you still cant get in, just send me an email and I will register you manually.)
If you want 8 hours of CEUs, you have to look at every slide. A “NEXT” button will appear at the bottom of each slide when enough time has passed. Pay attention to this button! The TCEQ wants your eyes on this course for 8 hours!
Freezing Up
Sometimes slides freeze up, and no amount of waiting seems to let you move forward. In that case, you can use the navigator menu off to the left side (its on the right in one of the modules actually). You can use that to jump ahead.
But don’t abuse that navigation menu! If you think you are smart enough and you can just jump to the final, that wont work here. I have some solid software that tracks your time down to the second!
At the top left of each page, you will see a Course Timer and a Lesson Timer, and you can see what your total time is. To get the latest time spent, you have to refresh that page. After a few seconds you will be taken back to the slide you were on. How long a lesson should last is indicated in the title of each lesson. Lesson or Module 1 does not have a timer, but you should spend at least 1 hour and 30 minutes on Module 1.
